Harvest time:

Order your tea when it's fresh. Green tea, white tea, black tea and yellow tea re picked in spring, when you order in April/May you'll have the fresh tea. We'll write down in the details in which year and at what time the tea was harvested. Light oolongs and Dancong oolongs will be available at the start of May and Wuyi Oolongs around July. If you buy Puehr tea, then buy aged puerh teas or fresh puerh with suitable for drinking directly.

Amount:

If you're not familiar with natural teas, then we suggest you to order a number of varieties first. However, when you have some favorites, then we suggest you to buy the amount for a whole year. If you're not a very heavy tea drinker, then around 250gram of tea of 2 or 3 teas will be enough for a whole year. If you order for at least 100usd, we can ship by express, which will be fast. Fresh tea is the best, therefore we recommend to order at least 100usd per time.

Shipping

When you make a purchase on Teazaar, the tea will be shipped from the tea farm. Most of the tea shipments will go through our Xiamen or Hong Kong office, but big shipments will go directly to you. Wherever you are in the world.

Our shipping costs are 20usd (or equivalent in other currencies) per order. All flat rate. All products are shipped from tea growers in Asia, therefore we suggest you buy a number of teas or a slightly bigger volume per time.

Shipments can be traced and take between 5 to 15 days till they arrive. We will send you an invoice and the price will also be written on the package. If your country requires import fees or other taxes, then you're responsible for this.

Once shipped, we will send you an email or sms with the tracking code.

Zhenghe Tea Farm

Zhenghe is a small county in the mountains of Fujian, nearby the Zhejiang border. The local Zhenghe Dabaicha cultivar is perfectly suitable for Zhenghe's climate. From these tea trees, you can pick all the different white tea varieties: Silver Needle, White Peony and Shoumei, the difference between these white teas is just the picking time. Silver Needle is picked when the first buds appear, and only the buds are picked. These buds are covered with small white hairs and remain white after being processed.

Tea Master Wang

Tea master Wang is an expert in processing Zhenghe Kungfu tea. Recently he started to collect leaves from the Zhenghe Dabaicha in order to process both the Silver Needle and the White Peony. His approach of withering and tanbei (charcoal heating) from only semi-wild tea leaves are unmatched in the area.

Zhenghe White Tea

If you're not familiar with the Silver Needle: This is a white tea, picked from two different tea tree varieties, the Dabaicha and the Dahaocha, which grow mainly in the follow three places: Zhenghe, Fuding and Fu'an, all located in northern Fujian. The cultivar in every area is slightly different, and the local circumstances (terroir) are different too. Three different Silver Needle teas.

The flavour is very light, sweet, with notes of beans and nuts.

Drinking Instructions

The water temperature should be around 80°C or 176 degrees Fahrenheit. However, white tea is very forgiving, a bit higher or lower temperature does not influence the taste too much. Just boil the water and wait for some minutes.

5-8 grams tea is 0.17 to 0.28 ounces tea leaves - the amount of one tea bag in the Zaar. If you don't have a gaiwan or tea maker, then use half of this amount per glass or mug.

You can steep the leaves up to 10 times, untill the tea loses its flavour. Natural tea offers many benefits to your health - it would be a waste to throw the leaves a way before they have released all their flavors.

If you enjoy drinking tea, then invest some time and money in finding the best possible water. The best result is achieved with fresh, living water.
